Made from quality 22-gauge copper, this Cottage Weathervane is ideally proportioned for smaller structures such as garages, gazebos, sheds, workshops and smaller homes. Inspired by the classic styling of our larger Farmhouse Weathervanes, it offers the same traditional appearance in a more compact size.

The detailed copper figure, cast brass compass points, and durable steel assembly create a fully functioning weathervane designed for lasting outdoor use.

Materials and Construction

Copper

Copper is used for the three-dimensional bi plane figure and spacer balls, providing a timeless appearance with excellent resistance to corrosion.

Each figure is handcrafted from formed copper sections that are carefully brazed together. Some brazing marks may be visible as a natural result of this traditional construction process. These marks are part of the individual character of a handcrafted copper product and do not detract from its overall appearance or function.

Cast Brass

The North, South, East and West compass points are made from cast brass, complementing the natural warmth of the copper figure while providing a strong and durable finish.

Powder-Coated Steel

Steel is used for the rotation rod and mounting components. These parts are protected with an exterior-grade powder-coated finish to provide a durable layer of protection against outdoor conditions.

For additional long-term protection, the steel mounting components can be periodically inspected and treated with a suitable exterior metal paint when required.

Important Information

The propeller is included as a decorative feature and is not designed to rotate in the wind.

For the best performance, position the weathervane in an open location where it can respond freely to the wind without being obstructed by nearby trees, walls or roof features.
